Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation
$36 Macy's
This foundation is pricey, but has been working good on my skin. I use a damp foundation sponge to
apply all over my face, then apply another coat to the areas that need more coverage. In my opinion, this foundation can be a light/medium to full coverage foundation, depending on the amount used.

15-hr staying power

Hand held Face Brush

I bought this hand held face cleanser from Ulta for about $4. It is a great to use for removing makeup, while exfoliating skin. Apply cleanser, cleanse in a circular motion and rinse.

Smasbox Studio Skin Foundation

Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation
Medium to Full coverage

I have been dealing with acne for a long time now and could never figure out what was causing it. I always have little bumps around my chin area with occasional cystic acne, which is very painful! Just recently I stopped using revlon colorstay makeup, which I have been using for about 10 years, magically my acne is starting to clear up. I am not sure if it is just a coincidence or if it really was the makeup that was breaking me out. Anyways, I switched to this higher end makeup and have been loving it so far. It is supposed to help reduce the production of oil, sweat and humidity resistant, tranfer-proof and long lasting. I have been using it for about 3 days now, so far so good!

Wide tooth comb

Conair Shower Comb

I love this wide tooth comb! It has rounded ends that are smooth and gentle on my scalp. I have tried others before that are pointy and hurt! This comb is good for combing through conditioner in the shower or detangling hair after a shower. I bought mine at target about five years ago. If you are interested in this comb you can buy it on amazon.com for less than $2 or CVS drugstores.

Mascara

Old Favorite...

Almay one coat nourishing mascara
I used to love this mascara! I went through about four of them. When i went to target to buy my fifth round they were all out. I saw a different one, by the same brand, and decided to try it out. It was called Almay one coat get up & grow. This mascara is now........

My New Favorite......

The applicator is fuller and applies better with less effort. I will continue to buy this mascara as long as they make it. I give this product a thumbs up.

Makeup remover towelettes

Almay makeup remover towelettes work well on my sensitive skin. It is very hard for me to find a good product that won't irritate my skin or break me out. I would recommend this product if your skin sounds similar to mine.

Alterna Hemp Ocean Waves

Great texturizing spray to use when you want to achieve soft, shiny, beachy waves. This product has a pleasant smell with a light hold.

Healthy Haircare Tips

1. Eat lean proteins, plenty of fruits and vegetables (oranges, spinach, broccoli), dairy and whole grains.

2. Try not to wash your hair everyday, every other day is better. Too  much washing can cause hair to become dry and brittle. Instead, use dry shampoo in between washes. I recommend batiste dry shampoo. It refreshes hair in between washes by absorbing the oils in your hair.

3. Try to avoid flat ironing, blow drying and curling hair as much as possible. Too much heat causes split ends and cause breakage. The less you do to your hair, the better.

4. Deep condition your hair at least once a month. A good deep conditioner is macadamia deep repair masque. At Ulta you can buy a sample size for $4. Rinse with cool water.

5. Drink lots of water

6. When hair is wet use a wide tooth comb, instead of using a brush. Wet hair is very fragile.

7. Trim hair often.

My Favorite Heat Protectant!

Sebastian Trilliant thermal protection and shimmer complex is my favorite heat protection spray ever! It conditions hair, creates shine, smells good, and protects hair. I tried many heat protection sprays, but they always seemed to either smell weird, leave a coated feeling on my hair or leave my ends dry. I always seem to go crawling back to Sebastian. This heat protection spray is a two part liquid that needs to be shook before every use. I would definitely give this product five stars. In fact, I did!

Matrix Hydratherapie Leave-In Tonic

A good leave-in conditioner, for us ladies with fine hair, is Matrix leave-in tonic. This will leave your hair soft, smooth, tangle-free, and more manageable. This product contains panthenol, which Is a really good ingredient for improving damaged hair. This ingredient also Seperates hairstrands to create a fuller look.

Sebastian shampoo and conditioner

If you are a person that needs moisture in your locks Sebastian Drench shampoo and conditioner is the way to go. In my opinion, this shampoo and conditioner can be used for all hair types. If your hair is fine you will only need a small amount of the conditioner and maybe a lightweight leave-in conditioner to achieve soft hair. For people with thick course hair use a generous amount of the conditioner and your hair will be left soft and shiny.

Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum

If you are looking to wear your natural waves, Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum is the way to go! It smooths down hair, while making it shiny and soft, without the greasy feel. I put a small amount in my hair, after letting it air dry for about a half an hour, and I'm good to go!
